Phoenix is a rock band from Versailles, France. The group was formed in 1999 by core members Deck d'Arcy, Laurent Brancowitz, Thomas Mars and Christian Mazzalai. The band has released 5 full-length studio albums as well as 2 live albums and 12 singles. Their song "Too Young" was a successful hit off their first album Untitled in 2000. In fact, the song was placed in the popular movie Lost In Translation starring Bill Murray and directed by Sofia Coppola. The song was also featured in the Jack Black movie Shallow Hal.

The band's most recent album, Bankrupt! came out in 2013. This has been the most successful release for the band to date. In addition to touring the world extensively, the group has announced that they will be playing at some of the largest music festivals around the world this year. Some of those festivals include Beale Street Music Festival, Coachella, Primavera Sound, Optimus Alive!, Rock am Ring and Rock Werchter. The group's 5th studio album offering will be released in April 2013. The album was co-produced by Phoenix and Philippe Zdar. In February, Phoenix released their first single for the album called "Entertainment". This song has already become an Internet hit and has exposed the band to a larger network of fans online. In addition, the band updates their social network sites on a regular basis, so their fans can stay in the loop with news, tour dates and album information.
